We had a great long weekend over the bank holiday.

The site was lovely and clean with indoor washing up facilities, microwaves and fridge/freezer.

Toilets and showers were always clean and never had to wait for a shower. Also a bonus were the private bathrooms with baths.

We liked the site layout as it was a mixture of caravans and tents. The site was not large but that is what we like. The tents in the tent field were around the edges which left the middle free for the kids to play. It was good to have this area so near the tent. One problem with the site we encountered was that the electric hook up points were quite far from the tent and our lead was not long enough. The staff were very helpful though and provided us with an extension to use.

The site had access to lovely walks through woodland which were enjoyed by our dog very much.

There was a fish and chip van that arrived on Saturday evening which was popular.

Great location for Eden camp and Scarborough. Malton itself is a lovely little village with a morrisons for essentials.

All in all a great site and lovely people.

We decided on one last camping trip of the year and was advised to try this site from a work colleague and wasn't one bit disappointed. The site was very quiet which is what you would expect this time of year and i think we were the only campers on site other than a few people with touring caravans, some permanent and some visiting. The guys on site were really nice and welcoming helping with directions and local walks. The site has the following plus points:-

Warm clean toilets and showers.
Corner bath area.
Small but well stocked shop for everyday. essentials including a varied choice of alcohol.
Laundry area.
Washing up area is indoors and is warm making it ideal for this time of year.
Indoor area has microwave, large fridge freeze for ice packs, hot drinks machine and toaster.
Fire pits are allowed.
BBQs are allowed.
Fish and chip van normally visits site on a Saturday night (It was quiet so we were told it would not be visiting that night which wasn't an issue).
Fish shop and pub is in next village just a few minutes in car.
Local circular walk (2 miles total) along Wold’s Way from site up to Enclosed Rites sculpture makes it ideal for children as they can also see the farm animals in the fields.
Plenty of open space for football etc.
Good base to visit many local attractions.

We store our caravan here and have done for the last 3 years. It's wonderful. Yes the children can be a bit noisy sometimes but for gods sake they are on holiday, let them enjoy themselves. Derek is lovely. He owns the site and del is his manager who runs things here. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It's a wonderful place with lovely walks if that is what you like. 25 minutes from the coast and 5 minutes from Malton. The best sunsets ever. Our little piece of heaven .
