Newsletter Spring 2010 Welcome Wolds Way Caravan and Camping will open on Friday 5th March. Our sixth season since opening in 2004 will see us welcome regular and new customers alike. You can be sure of a warm welcome and good service to make your stay an enjoyable one. Improvements Our ongoing program of improvements and additions, include the total length of our access road now resurfaced with tarmac, more water points, more fencing for shelter and privacy and more tree planting and landscaping to the site. Dog Kennels We now have dog kennels available if you need to leave your dog during the day, the cost is £5 per day. subject to availability. Walks They just get better, we have now included seating at various points around our farm as well as miles of permissive routes and public rights of way properly make our site one of the best for walking in Yorkshire. Sculture We are in talks with a number of organizations and a sculpture artist, it is hoped we will have a sculpture built on the Wolds Way as it crosses our farms, so watch this space for more info. Farm Animals Lambs - Last years pet lambs have moved to a farm near York, and we await this years new arrivals. Once again our younger visitors will be able to experience the thrill of bottle feeding milk to our pet lambs and receive a certificate of competence in lamb feeding. Ducks - The ducks have arrived Alice the aylesbury and husband Donald the mallard will welcome everyone and hopefully produce a brood of ducklings for all to feed. Highland Cattle - Its good news Morag and Doris have both given birth (on the 18th and 20th Feb) both little girl calves are fit and well and looking forward to seeing you all and enjoying the digestive biscuits you give them. Our beef cows and calves will also be near the site and once again looking forward to digestive biscuits from everyone. . Chickens. The chickens and their fresh free range eggs were a real success and we will have more chickens and eggs this year, who knows you may see your breakfast being laid for you. We are also looking for some alpacas and perhaps a kunai-kunai pig or two so keep looking who knows Finally A big thank you to all who stayed with us in 2009 .
